The George

I didn’t stay at The George Hotel in Ikoyi, but I spent some time by the poolside and I must say this hotel is beautiful. The environment is calm, classy, and very well maintained. You can tell they pay attention to detail. The quality of service was top notch,polite and professional staff who know how to treat guests right. Definitely one of the finer spots in Ikoyi.

I stayed at The George Lagos Hotel recently, and honestly, it was a fantastic experience. The place is super classy without feeling over-the-top. The rooms are spacious, really clean, and have this calm, cozy vibe—perfect for relaxing after a busy day in Lagos

Stayed at the George for a month while my house was undergoing renovations and the stay was generally okay. I would say the rooms are average and definitely not 5 star , and the property is generally clean. I decided to spend my last night by the poolside to have a few drinks and the waiters treated me as if I was invisible, while guests who came after me were attended to. I even approached a female waitress who was quite dismissive and after sitting for an hour , I left. I requested to speak with a manager who did nothing to atone for this , especially after I had just spent a whole month there. This left a bad taste in my mouth, I will not be back.
