The Gidgee Inn was a pleasure to stay at. The room was large with a very comfortable king bed. The shower had very good water pressure and provided great toiletries. The smart TV had great reception and we were able to Chromecast our own streaming apps. The internet was fast and thankfully Cloncurry had great reception from our service provider unlike some other outback towns. The staff were very friendly and informative on local attractions to visit. Highly recommend staying here is you're visiting Cloncurry.
I was lucky enough to stay here for one night and discovered a hidden gem in Cloncurry! The rooms were massive, clean, and exceeded my expectations. The front desk staff were very helpful and welcoming, and the food was great too. The hotel is well-priced and offers excellent value. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're ever in Cloncurry – I'll be back
I stayed here August of last year, the restaurant was superb with generous portioned meals. Tonight's experience I can't say that. $40 for 300gm (I don't believe it was 300gm) budget rib fillet cut extremely thin, ordered medium rare got medium well, minimal amount of sides to fill an adult. The restaurant has a new name so may be leased out. Blinds in room are broken and don't close properly. Paint peeling off the wall in the bathroom. Outer door lock looks like someone has tried to break in at some point.
