We had our wedding tasting at The Godfrey, and the experience was incredible from start to finish. Mary Kate has been exceptional with organizing everything—she’s responsive, detail-oriented, and made the entire planning process feel effortless. Edward was fantastic during our tasting, providing attentive and professional service that made the lunch feel truly special. We couldn’t be happier with the team at The Godfrey and are so excited to celebrate our wedding here

From the moment we arrived, The Godfrey exceeded every expectation. The staff greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism, making us feel instantly welcome. Valet and check-in were seamless. The valet went above and beyond by assisting me when I left my cell phone in the car, and they retrieved it for me. The room itself was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable, from the plush bedding to the thoughtful amenities. Housekeeping was impeccable throughout our stay, with attention to every detail. Everyone I encountered was amazing. I mean, even the maintenance team was pleasant and kind. Every time we passed a maintenance team member in the hallway; we were greeted with warmth! One of the true highlights was the on-site dining. The Hamilton breakfast menu offered a wide range of fresh, delicious options, and the staff was outstanding. I interacted with Tee (asst. mgr.), Lisa (supervisor), Sydney (host), and Noah (food runner). The exceptional service I received while dining is what prompted me to send this email. This Hamilton staff is at the heart of The Godfrey Hotel. I travel to Detroit often for concerts or just to take in the city. I have dined at many restaurants but have never been treated as well as I was at the Hamilton. Tee, the assistant manager, went above and beyond. I am sure she and the others were simply doing their job, but it was done with so much authenticity, care, kindness, professionalism, and love. I was blown away. Every team member we encountered at The Godfrey went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. I plan on telling everyone I know so The Godfrey will be the mainstay for accommodations every time my family and I are in Detroit. We’ll be returning!

Hard to give this hotel a fair review because there was an event taking place when we arrives and through the night. That made it crowded in the lobby and loud. Valet was so nice and on point. Front desk clerks great! Location is good. Felt safe and it was near plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Our room was a little small but nice. Loved how they have USB and wireless chargers. Clean and mostly quiet. Had some late night loudness from I’m assuming the event. It was just a couple of folks though. Hotel dining only ok.
