The Golden Lion at Settle

Had a lovely stay here on Friday 30/05/2025. We should’ve been staying 2 nights but hubby messed the booking up 🤦🏼‍♀️. Thanks to Jamie, we were relocated round the corner, very quickly. Staff were very friendly, efficient and accommodating. Had a lovely breakfast and even though not staying here on the Saturday, we ate our evening meal here with friends. It was delicious. Thank you everyone.

I recently stayed at The Golden Lion Pub in Settle and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience! The pub has a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a lovely blend of traditional charm and comfort. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The room was cosy, clean, and well-equipped—perfect for a relaxing stay in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. We also had the chance to enjoy a meal at the pub, and the food did not disappoint. The fish and chips were classic and delicious—crispy batter, flaky fish, and chunky chips cooked just right. We also tried the soup and bread, which was hearty, full of flavour, and perfect for a comforting start to the meal. Overall, The Golden Lion is a fantastic place to stay, eat, and unwind. Whether you’re exploring Settle or just passing through, it’s well worth a visit!

A few minutes walk from the railway station. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Friendly people. Breakfast was very good, excellent coffee. Highly recommend
