I loved this hotel!!! My room was spacious, comfortable, and very quiet. Everyone who works there is super nice and helpful. Great location. I really look forward to staying here again. Also the peanut butter cups in the room snack tray are SUPERB.

The Gotham delivers exceptional hospitality in NYC. As a boutique hotel, it doesn’t have the brand recognition that the big hotel chains, but it far out-performs the big brand names. Each and every employee we encountered - from the front desk to the bell men to the room service delivery man - was warm, helpful, accommodating, and welcoming. The Gotham’s hospitality matched with its location makes it a perfect place to stay while in Midtown Manhattan. I plan to stay here several times in the next couple of months and will recommend it to my friends when they travel to New York City.

My friend and I had such high expectations for our two night stay at The Gotham. We wanted boutique with a little luxury and thought this was it. First, I want to say the staff were always friendly and helpful. Kudos for curating a welcoming, friendly staff. The room itself was nice and sizable, the bed was comfortable. We were given a $20 credit for the rooms minibar. Location was great for midtown activities and only a couple blocks from the subway for farther adventures downtown. What we were let down on was the bathroom. There were mildew stains in the shower. The outlet cover near the sink had a gap exposing a small hole in the wall. The balcony was probably our biggest let down. In the photos it showed a comfortable settee but in reality we got a small bistro set that was so dirty we had to ask for a rag to clean it before using. The ‘view’ was of the back of a building and a large noisy air con system. They let us know about breakfast in The Reading Room yet didn’t tell us we should reserve a table ahead of time in order to be able to eat there. There were other small issues coupled with those mentioned that would lead me to not revisit this hotel again.
