The Grand Bali Nusa Dua

What a lovely find this hotel was. We checked in early with a very warm welcome from Marsha who informed us we had been upgraded. When we checked in later we were amazed by our room. Spacious and clean, with a huge bathroom and outside terrace with a plunge pool. We were two ladies travelling together and had booked twin beds which the room did not come with but another bed materialised quickly and was made up immediately. The grounds are beautiful, traditional balinese features everywhere which makes it so much nicer than some of the new sterile hotels. Pool area spacious and clean. Easy walking distance to lots of restaurants and a shuttle every two hours from 9-5 to a private beach area and Bali Collection. Breakfast was good with lots of choices on offer and a beautiful terrace to sit on near the pool. We loved our stay here and would 100% recommend.

This hotel was amazing, rooms were really clean, the shuttle to the beach club was perfect. The staff were really great. Especially Marsha on the front desk who helped find an item my mother left in a taxi, she truly went beyond. The security staff would stop traffic to help my older mum cross the road. Some nice eating options within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Room cleaned every day, alot of nice little touches.

We loved our stay here. I can’t give the hotel 5 stars compared to all hotels, but within its price range (VERY reasonable!) it definitely gets 5 stars. Staff is so nice. Hotel is so clean. Pool is beautiful and a lovely place to spend the day. Location is very good with convenience stores and shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Here is where it’s not perfect for me: the breakfast isn’t great. It’s just ok. The omelette station and the coffee machine are the best features of breakfast. The pastries and yogurt and just kinda weird. The biggest downside is the beach. I didn’t realize you have to take a shuttle to the beach or walk 30 minutes. The beach is dirty with trash and seaweed. Other resorts were having workers clean their beaches continuously, but not ours. However, overall I recommend this property because the price is right, they are friendly, and the hotel and pool are very, very nice.
