The Grand Hotel Taipei is a truly unique and iconic place to stay. The room was very spacious, with a huge balcony offering great views of the city. The entire hotel is decorated in traditional Chinese style, featuring massive red columns, intricate wood carvings, and a majestic, palace-like atmosphere. It felt like staying in a piece of history — not just a hotel, but a cultural experience. The room was comfortable, and the overall ambiance made it a memorable part of our trip. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates heritage architecture or wants to experience a more traditional side of Taiwan.

Very historical and ornate with beautiful art pieces and paintings/decorations. Excellent stay with good food and services. Enjoyed particularly the restaurant Yuan Yuan and the garden cafe. Excellent standard of food quality. Service impeccable. Western dishes at Cafe and Taiwanese dishes at Yuan Yuan particularly the red bean cake, dongpo pork etc The tunnels esp the East is worth visiting. Rooms are all equipped except for the lack of disposable toiletries viz toothbrush, comb, razor. Wifi is strong and coverage extensive.

I just had a family lunch here, so I can't tell you what the rooms were like. But if I had the guess the rooms are all pretty immaculate and beautiful. As far as the food goes, it's very traditional, with English menus, decent portions, and it was all delicious. There's plenty to staff that's able to help you and quite a few of them do speak English. Down in B1, they do do tours. A lot of it is in English. So if you have a day to kill and you want to look at some beautiful scenery, in a very historic famous location. This is a perfect spot for you! Give this place a visit!
