The Grand Resort

I am reviewing hosting an event at the Grand Resort-Piano Room/Gatsby’s (as opposed to staying as a guest) and wanted to take a moment to shout out Kieth and the kitchen staff, the wonderful servers, Michael, Lisa, and the front desk staff for helping us in truly every way to make this event so successful. From letting us load in the night before the event (TRULY A GOD SEND), to moving all our items into the piano room before we even arrived, to the beautiful allergy signage, dietary restrictions accomodations, delicious food and beautiful displays-- they helped me bring my vision to life and I could not have done it without them. I really want to sing some extra praises for Jimmy's help. He went above and beyond with our set up coordination, and accommodations. Brenna was also such a joy to work with in planning! The kitchen and event teams helped me pull off this event in less than 6 weeks. They were so wonderful to work with, and I highly recommend hosting an event here!

The customer service is beyond the best. We had the presidential suite booked in March for my husbands birthday. It’s Friday the day before we are leaving and my 2 year gets taken to the ER for her oxygen dropping in the 70’s, she then gets rushed by ambulance to main campus hospital. Website says No refund if you cancel under 48 hrs. The manager Kelly was AMAZING!!!! She was so incredibly understanding, gave me a FULL REFUND and sent me well wishes for our daughter. Rebooked our stay for next month, can’t wait! This customer service was so appreciated.

This was my first time at the Salon & Spa at The Grand Resort and I am pretty disappointed in the service I received. I booked an 80 min deep tissue massage, and let me preface with saying that I used to get massages regularly prior to moving to the area, so I knew what to suspect and have a frame of reference for this type of service. I asked for a deep tissue massage that targeted my back, neck, and shoulders since it has been well over a year since my last massage and I have SO many knots that cause back pain daily. My masseuse said she would target those areas, but I don’t feel that she spent any extra time there compared to the rest of my body. The massage felt more like light to moderate pressure and was much more surface level. The deep knots in my upper body were not targeted and didn’t feel like they got worked out at all. The massage was relaxing, but it wasn’t what I paid for. I know I should have asked for more pressure but because I didn’t have a reference of how much time had passed throughout my massage, and I thought she would circle back around to my back and go a bit deeper. so when the massage was over I was surprised with the service I had received. I struggle to outright say that I’m not happy with a service and felt obligated to leave a tip since I know a lot of people in the service industry live off them. I’m just so disappointed because I left the appointment with my shoulders and neck still tight and 90% of the deep knots still there, and my back pain due to those knots was not relieved. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and the amenities included with the service were quite nice, which is why I gave a 2 star instead of a 1.
