The Grey Hotel

Absolutely loved our stay at the Grey :-) From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location is perfect, and our room was spotless, and well equipped with everything we needed. The amenities, especially the roof top bar, were top notch. We truly appreciated the attention to detail and excellent service throughout. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, stress-free getaway in Cape Town.

The location is excellent - central, but not noisy. Very comfortable sleep in an attractive room, especially for the price! Nice shower. The staff are also friendly! Easy access day or night. Book directly through their site - it's likely to be cheaper and they're very helpful. Finally, checkout at 12pm? Incredible, so nice to be able to wake up late!

The location of The Grey is perfect. Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants in the area and also very safe. Staff was also very friendly. The room was very small. Basically there was only enough room for the queen size bed. Also the mattress was very hard, not comfortable at all. I do have to mention that we had cockroaches in our room as well as sewer flies. The room had a mini bar but honestly there are so many drink and eating options in the area that the mini bar is not needed. I would have preferred if the hotel provided a in room coffee and tea option instead of a mini bar. Also it would have been great if the mini fridge wasn’t overstocked with mini bar stuff so that you could keep your own water and juice cold. And a microwave would have been nice but this also was not in the room. Conclusion - immediately turned off because of the big problem. I wouldn’t stay there again.
