The Griffin Inn

This was our second stay on a Sunday night and it was fantastic. Our room was gorgeous (better room than our first stay, we were upgraded as per their booking promise) . The food and service were all very good. The location and the gardens are fabulous especially if you are super lucky with the weather like we were. A real traditional English pub with great food , beer and accommodation. I am sure we will be back for a third visit !

Had a one night stay here and an evening meal/ drinks. What an amazing pub garden, great staff, and a very nice menu. Food well presented although a little bland and pricey. Not a cheap place to be for drinks/ food / stay but worth it. Lovely peaceful location. Room nice but a little small for what you pay. Will certainly be back though, just feel a few improvements could be made .

Fantastic location in the heart of Sussex and beautiful views from the garden. Sadly left disappointed by the Kitchen. Arrived on Sunday at 4pm to hear thy had run out of all roasts even though kitchen closed at 8. Further disappointed when a few other starters on the menu were not in stock. Felt lazy as the pub was not super busy when we arrived. Ended up with a dry burger and average fish and chips. Front of house team couldn’t have been more accommodating and did give us a pint on the house to apologise. Shame as we had heard good things about this place. Unfortunately the kitchen couldn’t match the super location of the pub.
