Location is near Brighton Pier. The toilet needs improvement in cleanliness. No one in the front desk, no lock on the main door. One of the rooms still got used plastic nails from previous customer, toilet only has a dim light and no light inside the shower room. Room blinds were too dusty. Despite those the bed is comfortable, the sheets were clean.
Do not stay here. We paid far too much money for this place that looks nothing like the images online. The place was dirty. There were alcohol cans left all over the entrance communal area where my 18month old daughter picked up a beer can. No staff or reception in sight. The room was dirty - a mosquito squatted on wall, the room didn’t appear to have been cleaned. Towels were left on bathroom floor and one of them had dirty marks all over it so we couldn’t use it. No staff to report this to, to get a replacement. During the evening around 10pm we could hear another couple staying there complaining about their dirty room as they must have called someone to come to the hotel. They were saying they refused to stay there and wanted their money back. The worker refused to offer money back or get a manager and tried to show them to a new room which sounded like it was just as bad as the complaints continued. The manager was eventually called later after it had escalated getting louder and louder until the police were called. It shows many other rooms were poor condition like ours. To top it off, extremely loud music came on around 9pm. It seemed to be a shop owner playing a speaker from his entrance. This went on for several hours so we barely got any sleep. The area although close to things, seemed to be in a bit of a dodgy area of town, with lots of people slumped in the corners or doing drugs in the green square area in front of the hotel. Genuinely felt quite unsafe staying here. My mum was staying in a separate room on the top floor and I was worried for her safety. I would not stay here again and definitely would not recommend it.
This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Where do I start? Here are a few of the issues I encountered during my stay in July: - Very poorly cleaned room: hairs, stains and dust in mugs, cupboards had aged food stains and hairs, and the chair was super dirty. - Very poor shower flow - took me half an hour to fully clean myself. - Only two towels provided despite there being 3 guests - couldn’t reach out to no one about this. - The Wifi didn’t come up on any of our devices - The room was much smaller than advertised; there was no space between the single bed and the cupboard which made it very inaccessible - No fan provided even though there was a heatwave: lack of sleep because of this On top of this, there was no face-to-face customer service and the people on the phone barely could help. I tried requesting a refund for the stay but the property manager "were able to verify that the room offered to you was clean and didn't have other issues". Absolutely appalling.
