The Hamlet

I stayed at the Hamlet Geneva for five month in 2025. My experience was a very good one. The location is outstanding, just next to the famous historic Bourg-de-Four, and close to the St. Pierre Cathedral. The interior design is fantastic and largely personally created by a family member including distinct paintings. The staff is definitely above average, and I'd like to specially mention Anaëlle, the chief of staff, who had the overview and was in charge at any time: very friendly, kind, reliable, organized, customer centered. Also the other staff were available, and even helped with business tasks. I can whole heartedly recommend this place - six stars out of five!

The Hamlet is my home away from home in Geneva and I can’t say enough about it. I have been going there since 2020, twice per year, and have tried a number of their apartments. Everything I state below has been consistently true during each and every one of my visits. Let’s start with location: in the heart of Old Town Geneva, there is no more beautiful area, amid cafes, restaurants, shops, and the Cathedral. The spaces, furnishings and amenities are excellent. You have everything you need and not one thing extra. The beds are extremely comfortable, the towels soft, the kitchen perfectly appointed. The Aesop products in the bathroom are delicious. The minimalist decor is elegant and soothing. The Square offers a wonderful common area to work, have meetings, and socialize. A fabulous Pilates instructor is available to guests, and the partnership with L’Usine is perfect for those who prefer a gym. The apartments are cleaned daily and expertly. Finally, the service is five stars. Anything you need, the Hamlet team will help you get. They are helpful, discreet, and kind.

The Hamlet is hands down the best place to stay in Geneva. Forget the usual big-name hotels—this place is a hidden gem that delivers far more charm, warmth, and service than any chain could hope to offer. We’ve stayed at The Hamlet twice with our young family, each time for two months, and every visit has felt like coming home. The team knows your name, greets you like old friends every time you walk through the door, and genuinely cares about making your stay exceptional. The accommodations are exquisite—a beautifully restored historic building in the heart of the Old Town, just steps from Place du Bourg-de-Four. Inside, everything is modern and elegant: top-of-the-line appliances, tasteful mid-century furniture, and a perfect blend of old-world architecture and contemporary comfort. The location couldn’t be better—surrounded by charming cafes, restaurants, and all the character that makes Geneva special. Whether you’re a solo traveler or a family, The Hamlet is incredibly accommodating. They go above and beyond in so many thoughtful ways—stocking your apartment with high-end snacks, drinks, and chocolates, helping with errands like dry cleaning, and even ordering specific appliances on request. One unforgettable moment: on our son’s birthday, we returned to the apartment to find balloons, a cake, and presents waiting—and we hadn’t even mentioned the occasion. That level of care is rare and speaks volumes. We can’t recommend The Hamlet highly enough. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s a place you’ll want to return to again and again.
