The Hermitage

I had a lovely stay at the Hermitage. A beautiful traditional building but upgraded with modern, well finished en suites and extremely comfy beds. Wendy was extremely welcoming and acomodated my special requests to arrive late and have an early breakfast. The food was great quality and I'd highly recommend the arbroath smokies! Wendy provided a handy list of good local restaurants, so I easily found a nice restaurant to eat in on each night of the week. I would happily recommend and stay again in future - thanks for a lovely stay!

My wife and I wanted somewhere to stay closer to the highlands for a couple of days before returning to Edinburgh to see the Fringe. The accomodation was lovely, clean and well presented, and Wendy was very helpful and the breakfast was lovely. Parking was on the road, but we never had any issues getting a space right outside the property. We were able to drive up the coast to a lovely old derelict castle called Dunnottar, then drive across to Balmoral for a visit, before returning to the accomodation all whilst taking in the stunning scenery as well. I would highly recommend this accomodation to anyone.

Staying at The Hermitage B&B was a very pleasant experience for my wife and myself as our first stop on a multi-day adventure in Scotland. Wendy was warm and welcoming and our room was clean and cozy. Several good restaurants very close by. Our full Scottish Breakfast was wonderful and plentiful from a menu with options for every taste. I recommend The Hermitage for anyone staying in Montrose.
