The Heyford

1st impressions, to be honest, we were slightly disappointed by its location. We were expecting something a little more rural. The hotel is situated on a main rd with a Sainsbury’s opposite, however the service, ambience and food certainly outweighed the location. Lovely outdoor area overlooking the green, perfect for relaxing in plush cane chairs enjoy the reasonably priced drinks. Food: excellent quality, and huge portion sizes. We shared starters and couldn’t clear our mains,. Although we booked BB& evening meal package, the prices on the menu were very reasonable. Their pizza is excellent ! Good selection of starters and mains! Service, EXCELLENT!! nothing was too much trouble and one young gentleman stood out in particular, Ryan. Attentive, happy and extremely helpful. The Baton restaurant is elegantly decorated and there was great live singer on Saturday evening. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. Staff, from reception to cleaners are all extremely helpful and pleasant. We would definitely stay again.

I had a wonderful weekend stay at The Heyford Hotel. From the moment of check-in, the service was attentive and professional, with all queries handled efficiently. Special thanks to Rute at reception, whose warm and welcoming approach made the check-in seamless. The standard room exceeded expectations—spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed. The room was tastefully decorated, with a thoughtful and modern design. The shower was particularly impressive, featuring dual controls for water pressure and temperature, making it both intuitive and comfortable to use. Breakfast was served promptly and of good quality. While the continental selection could benefit from a bit more variety, the overall dining experience was pleasant and satisfying. It would also be great to see freshly squeezed orange juice offered as an alternative to the current juice drink, as well as other fresh breakfast items— would really elevate the breakfast experience A thoroughly enjoyable stay—highly recommended if you're in the area. Excited to book one of the upgraded rooms on my next visit.

Our stay at the Heyford was lovely. The team were so accommodating with our late arrival too. Lauren H took great care of us at breakfast and was just what we needed when we woke up hungover on a Sunday morning after a wedding. She was so kind and a delight to chat with too. An absolute angel!!! Would definitely recommend the stay and ofcourse the wonderful food!
