We booked The Hind's Head for our Wedding Party and it was the perfect location for our wedding at The Old Mill. Frankie and team made us feel so welcome and allowed us to have a small gathering the night before the wedding where they provided pizza's and excellent service, even with their annual summer party also taking place that evening. Everything in everyone's rooms was exactly what we were looking for, comfortable beds, spacious rooms and excellent breakfasts. We would highly recommend and would like to say a massive thank you to the Hinds Head team!
Had my mum’s 80th birthday meal here which was excellent. Lovely food, beautifully presented and great service. Didn’t stay so can’t comment on the rooms but didn’t have the option not to rate. Kids enjoyed playing in the garden and play ground next door.
Be Aware! If you are looking for a hotel with food and a bar, this may not be the place for you. We stayed on a Sunday night & were disappointed to find that food is only served until 3pm. Staff were not interested or able to suggest somewhere for us to eat. Even more disappointing is that the bar closes at 9.00pm. What is a guest supposed to do then - especially if the main reason for the stay at the hotel is catching up with friends? Additionally, the bed was incredibly squeaky, to the point that it woke us up in the night. Further dissatisfaction came when we went to shower and discovered that there was only one towel for two of us. When we checked in, we were asked what time we would like breakfast. However, when we came down for breakfast (a little earlier than we said we would) there were no pastries left. None had been held back for us, so get down early if you fancy a croissant! All of this is a shame. The pub is really nice and the cooked breakfast was pretty good too, but overall, our experience was quite disappointing.
