The Hive Hotel

Awesome beach front resort in Lamai. Not a 5 star property but it suited us perfectly. We had the cheapest room and it was 1 min walk to the pool on the beach. Great location literally on the beach and only a 2 min walk to the main strip of Lamai. Also beautiful gardens surrounding the rooms. Highly recommended and we’d def stay here again

This is a lovely property set in a pleasant garden setting. The staff are very friendly and professional and are happy to assist with your needs and requests. Special credit should go to Nui (the restaurant manager), who with a friendly smile and a wealth of experience, is constantly trying to improve the service provided. The rooms are well appointed and functional. The direct beach access and private area are a distinct advantage. The ocean safety netting is also a big plus. The only negatives are the somewhat smaller than required pool area and an obvious lack of shade. In the middle of the day and afternoon, there is limited shade, despite the plentiful umbrellas. I was rather disappointed with Reception when I asked if they would call me a metered taxi to take me to the airport upon check-out. They insisted that they would only call their preferred private drivers. After I virtually insisted, they agreed to call but pretended not to know the number. Rather poorly disguised collaboration and not good PR. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in a better than average beachside resort.

I enjoyed my stay, the sea is next to you from the hotel can be accessed, Rooms are acceptable with the price value, it was clean. Toilet was clean as well . Breakfast was included and it was acceptable , they also provide omlet but you need to order it, free of charge They provide towels in the pool area for the beach and the pool. The pool was greecy a bit . Otherwise i had a nice stay and will repeat Excellent location near all markets where you can enjoy LAMAI night market with variety of food
