We stumbled across the horseshoe on a booking site for a very last-minute getaway. We booked it the morning of our 1st night. What a find!! The room was lovely (garden room) with its own little patio. We ate at the pub both nights and the food was really good! The staff, though, are all amazing. A special mention to the guy behind the bar in the evening. He was always chatty and funny and took a genuine interest in what we had done in the day. We soon realised that a lot of the people staying were repeat customers and we could see why. The owner, Charlie, certainly knows how to run a pub & accommodation. All this is set in the most beautiful village! We will certainly return! Thank you for a great couple of days!!
I've been coming to the Horseshoe for nearly 20 years and the food has NEVER been anything but excellent, and today was no different. The Black Pudding Stack starter, and the Pork Fillet Stroganoff were beautiful. This was my mother and sister's favourite place in the world to eat, and I only wish they were still here to enjoy today's visit. ❤️💙
What a great little country, pub.very friendly staff,attentive and always polite. The rooms are fantastic, clean and everything you will need. But the food..... the food is exceptional, all cooked to order, highest quality of ingredients, cooked to perfection.
