The hotel is so perfectly situated right across from the lake. Clean rooms. Super nice clerk was very accommodating and came over at dinner to say hello and see if our room was good for us. Super comfy pillows and bed. I love the walk in shower and warm floors. Thank you for a warm welcome.

This was our second time staying here, and unfortunately, things have gotten worse since our last visit. The rooms themselves are okay, but there are a few issues—such as the barn-style bathroom door that doesn’t close properly and has no handle, which is inconvenient and awkward. Many of the amenities were unavailable during our stay. The pool was decent, but the steam room was closed. We were told it would open the next day, but it never did. The sauna also had a broken door with no handle and barely got warm, which was disappointing. Outside, the game area was enjoyable and one of the better parts of our stay. However, the back deck was still unfinished this year, which was also the case during our last visit. We had a negative experience with the staff at the upstairs restaurant. We specifically went for the sushi, which is still on the menu, only to be told it wasn’t available because the chef quit. The staff member who told us this was quite rude. The food was overpriced for what it was. On a more positive note, the Black Bear Tavern had good food and friendly staff, and we enjoyed the karaoke night—it was a fun touch. The ATMs were out of service, and when we asked for help, staff were not very helpful or accommodating. Overall, this place has a lot of potential with the beautiful lake surroundings, but it’s currently overpriced for the lack of working amenities and poor service in some areas. It could be a great getaway if improvements are made.

Be very careful with these guys. Was not aware the "stay and play package" meant it included golf as well. Really though it was just a name for playing at the bar casino. Tax in just about $300.00 per night. Checked-in, they never gave you any info. Found out on Sunday check out that we should have asked them for the coupon! The hotel simply avoided us requesting the refund as the golf course, who got paid twice, refused the refund for both days. Called and was told they would call back. Not a call in over a week. Be very careful, desperate owner grabbing money anyway they can! What a rip!!!! Room is average and service was non-existent, got a room with a bath that backed up even after they supposedly cleared the plug but no offer to move us. Had to live it out for two days. Next time, I will go somewhere else. Not worth the money at all!!!! Unfortunately it was a golf tournament we sponsor but will let the organizers know we will not sponsor if they go here again.
