The Hotel Monroe Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Gorgeous, gorgeous hotel. As someone that has traveled to over 45 countries & 45 states this hotel truly exceeded my expectations. The staff were so sweet and incredibly helpful. The architect and interior designer deserve their props. They also have a very cute rooftop bar and their lattes were great. I’m truly blown away - and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I’ll make sure to try their restaurant next time I’m back in town!

We didn’t stay at the hotel, only ate dinner at Heirloom and had drinks at Star Bar. Heirloom is a solid 4 star restaurant, the food could use some more kick. The wasabi deviled eggs are good, not great. The alligator kabobs also good, but could use more flavor. The Star Bar has great views of downtown, and the service is good, we noticed the drinks were smaller at the bar there than downstairs at the restaurant.

The wife and I ate at their restaurant, Heirlooms. We did not stay in a room. All the food was good, but nothing grand, and definitely not worth the prices charged, even the drinks. Once we were seated, the ambiance was nice, and the server was excellent. I had a reservation, but I don't believe I would have had a wait time either way. There is not a lot of free parking available, and I'm not sure how many paid parking spots are available. The building is beautiful and has a rooftop bar that I haven't tried yet, but I may one day.
