The Hotel Sanraku Kanazawa

This place is right near a bunch of things we wanted to do here. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The breakfast buffet was pretty stellar and I loved trying all the things! The rooms are well appointed with a nice shower separate from the tub. The bed was a little hard for my liking but that's really just personal preference. Wi-Fi was just ok. The main restaurant is supposedly good (from a friend..I didn't go there). But also expensive.

Beautiful hotel. There is a japanese garden with waterfall greeting you the moment you walk through the front door. Fantastic room, big (for japanese standard), clean, new, very well decorated with Japanese element in the room. Good quality beverage, including bottled water and bottles tea. Massive toilet/shower/bathroom (again for Japan standard) with renowned toiletries including Kose for skin care. Service is 5 stars, staffs speaks good English and communicate well. Location is superb, close to fish market (for fresh sushi), 25min walk to train station (shuttle available) 3 min walk to Kinazawa Castle, 15 mins to Higashi Chaya, 10mins to Oyama Shrine. Overall, very impressed and would definitely stay again.

Really lovely stay! The breakfast buffet was 10/10. We went every morning at 06:30 and recommend people eating early to avoid wait times. There were a wide variety of items served in the buffet. The hotel also provided a shuttle service to Kanazawa Station, which we really appreciated at check out. The staff were very kind and professional. The bathroom was amazing, excellent water pressure for showers. Of note, the mattress in the room for sleeping is pretty firm. But that appears to be the baseline here in Japan. So keep that in mind!
