Amazing place and very friendly staff and owners. Lovely interior, delicious food (the steak pie is top notch), comfortable rooms including a great shower (most welcome after a long walk). The pub is also dog-friendly and even has a dog menu 🐕
This was my second stay at Howard Arms. My first trip was in 2018. I can see that a lot of upgrades have been made without losing the historical integrity of the building. This place is a little tucked away piece of history. I love the pub area, and our room was cozy, comfortable, and clean. There was a kind gentleman who gave us our keys and then carried our luggage upstairs. Later, he was helping at the bar and the tables. Highly recommend if you're in the borderlands to stay here. If I'm ever back that way, I will definitely book again !!! Thank you for a fantastic stay.
An amazing little inn. I booked last minute, the staff was awesome I showed up after they closed! The included breakfast was made to order and awesome. And the most dog friendly place I've ever seen. I'm not traveling with a dog but there was a water dish in my room.
