The Hotel itself is excellent. The design creates a warm and home-like atmosphere. The personnel is consistently kind. The room (corner roomy) wasn’t just clean, but also rather spacious and quality wise in line with the rest of the Hotel: great! The only downside is the location, which is close to the train station and not very lively. Overall a great hotel for a stay in Brussels!
If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. Horrible Experience – Avoid This Hotel I had a truly disappointing and frustrating stay at this hotel. From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff was rude and unwelcoming. We were asked if we wanted full room service cleaning, and we confirmed we did — yet for four nights in a row, our room was not cleaned. No trash emptied, no bed made, no fresh towels. On the fourth night, we returned to find not a single towel in the bathroom. When I called to request towels, a rude woman showed up at my door with a strange man. No explanation, no professionalism — just handed me towels with an attitude. It was extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. The service was appalling, the staff lacked even the most basic courtesy, and the location was equally unpleasant. I would never stay here again and strongly advise others to look elsewhere. This place is a disaster. Lastly, my room was entered unauthorized to leave a card and cookies for an individual who was not even occupying my room. See photo. I have never felt so unsafe in a hotel. I have traveled all over the world and stayed in many hotels. This was the most horrifying experience.
I recently stayed at the Hoxton Hotel and had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel. I was pregnant at the time, which made the situation even more difficult, and sadly, the staff showed absolutely no empathy or care throughout my stay. The room was dirty, unpleasant, and had a horrible smell that made me sick. Being pregnant, I was especially sensitive to odors, and the smell was so bad it caused me to vomit repeatedly and lose sleep the entire night. I asked the front desk if I could switch rooms, explaining my condition, but they refused with no effort to help or even show basic understanding. I also requested room service, which never came. When I followed up, I was met with rude and dismissive responses from the staff. At no point during my stay did anyone try to accommodate me or even apologize for the discomfort and poor service. The attitude of the workers was extremely disappointing — they were cold, rude, and completely unprofessional. For a hotel that presents itself as a higher-end establishment, the lack of cleanliness and customer service is unacceptable. I would never stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone — especially not to pregnant guests or anyone expecting basic hospitality and respect.
