Really amazing experience overall. Hotel was beautiful, staff was great, and the pool/ restaurant on the roof were very nice. Would recommend to anyone coming to LA. I did a ton of research on hotels in the area and was very happy with this choice. To address some of the other reviews. I did not experience a ton of extra fees only the destination fee which was expected. The location in DTLA felt nicer and safe than most other areas we saw driving through but it is not far from those areas. Lastly the noise on the weekends is pretty intense with the concert venues in the area and it kept me up Saturday night but that just comes with the territory no knock on the hotel.

First time at a Hoxton in the USA, after staying at one in Germany. PROS: Stylish hotel, friendly attentive service, very comfortable rooms with a great bed and powerful rainfall shower. Great food and bev options ($$$) and a fun rooftop pool. Option to check in and out any time when booking direct can be a HUGE benefit. Breakfast bag for $5 delivers to the room is a cool perk. CONS: Neighborhood isn’t great (wouldn’t have stayed in Downtown LA if it wasn’t for work). Plan to Uber around, especially after dark. Several “junk fees” on the room without any benefits (destination fee doesn’t include anything extra), hotel ordinance fee, etc.

Stayed a couple of times in the past month. Was a nice stay after surgery. Everyone was very responsive. The second stay was not as good, service was much slower and non-existent at times. Asked for more water at the front desk and it never arrived. The TV was a little annoying when I was spending a lot of time in the room post-surgery. The "guide" doesn't work (or didn't in either of our rooms). During the 2nd stay, there were several hours there was no TV service at all. Less of a concern that trip. The restaurant downstairs is very good and has excellent service! The bloody Mary is delicious. Wouldn't be my first choice for future trips but I wouldn't discourage anyone from staying. They have a pool which isn't super common in DTLA. The coffee mugs in the room are adorable and I really wanted to smuggle them home.
