I loved everything about this hotel. Its so clean, vibrant and cozy. Located away from the busy streets, but at the same time 20min away from all attraction walking distance! The crew were very friendly and helpful! Its perfect for 2 to 4 days trip to Florence.
The staff were all polite and happy to help any time. Some of the politest hotel staff we’ve had on a trip to Europe. The outdoor bar although pricey, did make us some nice cocktails. The coffee shop serves coffee from Origin Roasters in London. The hotel is stylish but the poor quality of workmanship is evident within a few hours of stay. Loose fixtures, crooked lights, leaky shower doors which flood the rest of the bathroom. All these can be overlooked but the mattress was really bad. So soft and squishy that it was impossible to have a good night’s sleep. We expect a soft mattress in a hotel but this just felt really cheap. The room was technically spacious but the layout still left no real room to store or open a large suitcase. There was no wardrobe, just a hanger to hang clothes on which is not great. We did appreciate the mugs and kettle and the inclusion of real milk in our mini fridge.
I recently stayed at The Hoxton in Florence and had a mixed experience. The location is quite good — about a 20-minute walk to the city center, which made it easy to explore without being in the middle of the tourist crowds. The room itself was stylish, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with nice touches like a bidet hose in the bathroom. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout my stay, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the cleanliness left something to be desired. The towels provided were not clean, and the ice bucket I requested came with a bottle cap and hair inside, which was off-putting. Another annoying issue was that even basic items like an electric plug adapter came with extra charge, which felt unnecessary for a hotel in this category. The hotel has a lot of potential — great design, kind staff, and a good location — but attention to cleanliness and guest convenience needs improvement. With a few changes, it could be a fantastic place to stay in Florence.
