The Hoxton Rome

We stayed here just for the day. I was impressed with most of the hotel and what it had to offer. The pricing is affordable for what you get which is a lot in return. The staff were very friendly, very polite and we got an upgrade to a better room. The restaurant staff we also found were also all very friendly and efficient. The communal spaces, which are also well set out allows you some time to have an aprittivo or a light lunch inside or outside depending on the weather. I liked that. The rooms, well the room we stayed in was clean and neat, well decorated although the bathroom was a bit small but doable for 2 people. The hotel is situated in a very nice position and the sights of Rome are quite nearby. The park is in walking distance if 15 minutes is okay for you just to get out of the hustle and bustle of a city for a short while. In short, a very nice hotel with lots of potential.

We stayed here for one night at the start of our honeymoon. When we checked in, we asked about an upgrade and were told it would cost an additional 70 euros. This was surprising, especially since every other hotel we stayed at during our two-week trip offered complimentary upgrades and small honeymoon gestures, like a bottle of wine, chocolates, or even a note congratulating us. It would’ve been nice if they put a little more effort into those small but meaningful details. The room itself was decent—comfortable bed and a nice shower. The location, however, was a bit farther from everything than we expected. The hotel was about a 45-50 minute drive from the airport. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and helpful when we needed a taxi, which was appreciated. The reception area was nicely decorated and gave a good first impression. Overall, while the hotel itself was nice, I would consider staying again if I needed to, but I do wish they had done more to make our honeymoon feel special.

Great value for money! We stayed at this hotel for a day and we wish we could have stayed longer. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we were given an upgrade to a better room even though we were only going to be there for a few hours. We also thought we would try the restaurant and there again, friendly staff and a good breakfast menu. The room itself was well decorated but the bathroom was a little small, nonetheless it was a very pleasant room. The hotel itself is situated in a nice part of Rome and taking a taxi or walking is also recommended. A park is close by for those who are willing to walk 15 minutes and the Spanish steps are a 40 min walk. Not for the faint hearted. Overall it was a hotel I would stay at again when in Rome.
