I had an ‘economy’ type room during my 5-night stay here. When entering, I was quite daunted by the small size of the room, but, since I was traveling solo, actually in the end I liked this room, since it had everything that was needed and a very nice bed. Probably it is a bit small for 2 persons though. This is a hotel to explore the city (it’s on a superb location); eat (good) breakfast, go out all day, come back in the evening and rest. That’s it. As others have commented, be careful with showering (but there is no need to make a drama of it, just use common sense). Lights in the bathroom could have been placed better. All in all, I very much recommend this hotel as basecamp (at a reasonable price) for city exploration.
Perfect location! The staff were incredibly friendly and supportive throughout my stay. Breakfast was fresh and delicious — a real highlight in Denmark! The bedding was cozy and super comfortable, and I was impressed by the stylish interior, especially the Fritz Hansen chairs. I had such wonderful memories at the Huxley Hotel. Highly recommended if you’re staying in Copenhagen!
I stayed at The Huxley Copenhagen on a solo trip and honestly, it was exactly what I needed. It’s tucked behind the Royal Theatre, super close to Nyhavn and the metro, but still quiet. Everything felt really central without being hectic, which I appreciated. The hotel is small and beautiful. My room had proper Danish design piece: Arne Jacobsen chairs, Fritz Hansen bits. Not staged, just part of the space. It made me want to come home and rearrange every corner of my house. This trip was me carving out a bit of time to dream again. I’ve had a baby. I’m trying to build something creative for myself. Coming here gave me ideas and energy I haven’t felt in ages. Also, it's pet-friendly and named after the owner's dog. Huxley the dog was actually there. Just hanging out. SO on brand! Would absolutely stay again
