The Hyde All Suite Hotel

We recently stayed at the Hyde Hotel for 3 nights while visiting Cape Town from Australia. The property is in a fabulous area, great coastal walking path & cafes near by. Front desk service was always super helpful, Cynthia was especially pleasant. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We ate at Jack’s at the Skye Bar on 2 occasions. The mountain views from the pool deck at Sunset were lovely. Huge shout out to our waiter Tinago, who was super friendly and attentive! Food met our expectations also. Free basement parking was a plus!

We stayed at The Hyde Hotel in Cape Town as a family with a toddler and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was very spacious and family-friendly, with a full kitchen (including all necessary equipment), a smart TV, and a comfortable setup. We really appreciated the daily housekeeping service and the fact that breakfast was included. The hotel is in a great location—just a short walk to restaurants, pharmacies, the Sea Point promenade, and even a beachfront playground. Inside the hotel, there was also a small kids' play area and a gym, which was a nice bonus for families. There were a few downsides: housekeeping sometimes missed replacing towels or trash bags. There was also quite a bit of noise at night and early mornings from nearby construction and children playing. Unfortunately, the kids’ play area was often closed as it was near the construction zone. Lastly, the breakfast could use more variety as it was exactly the same every day. That said, the reception staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. With a few improvements, this hotel would be excellent for families. Still, it offered good value and comfort in a convenient location.

Nice hotel with great staff. The room is excellent in comfort, decor and cleanliness, but only gets 1 star as our room (602) is directly underneath the pool bar speakers (pool is on the floor above), which are thumping throughout the day. NOT a relaxing stay for that reason
