The Imperial Hotel & Convention Centre Korat

An iconic hotel that positively stands out, in the Southern Isaan Region of Thailand. I was impressed by the wonderful walkability, spacious room, lovely pool, delicious buffet breakfast and reception area. However, it was the super helpful service that really stood out. So impressed I was, that I stayed an extra night and definitely recommended this place to stay in Korat.

I spent 2 weeks at the Imperial Hotel in Korat. Overall the hotel is decent by Thailand standards, it’s kept clean and the staff are pretty good. It’s a bit dated probably a US 4 star hotel about 30-40 years ago. The rooms were a little rough with old furniture but the bed was comfortable and air conditioning was cold. The shower was hot in the morning almost scalding but cold to Luke warm in the afternoon. House keeping kept it pretty clean. The breakfast was not great unless you want or like Asian breakfast. They will make omelets or scrambled eggs to order, there are no pork products. The coffee is terrible but the bar can make some better coffee. The gym is small and very hot. They have some weight equipment and two treadmills, walking/running the perimeter is about 1/4 mile. There is a night market a block away as well as ATM. 7-11 and Amazon cafe are a 5 min walk.
