The Inn At English Harbour Antigua

This boutique hotel is so friendly. We walked out of a 5 star Relais Chateaux resort (run by a charmless manager and even less charming MD) to come to this smaller family owned hotel. It was the best thing to do. The staff here are genuine, friendly, cheery, always smiling and they try to make everything possible for their guests. Here you feel like family. The manager Fabio wanders around checking on everyone and making sure all wishes can be granted. Even the gardeners stop to greet you. Vere the boat driver runs the shuttle back and forth to Nelsons Harbour taking guests to explore the dock yard. Mirrium and her team at the beach restaurant are super friendly. We love Stacy too. The food is delicious, thank you to the talented chefs. There are canoes and laser boats freely available on the beech for little trips in the bay. The pool is big and delightfully cold. There are buggies to run up and down in. Vincent happily carried our 6 cases still joking as he did so! Melissa and Kafi and all the reception staff went above and beyond to welcome and help us. They even repaired my husband's glasses without us asking... this is what we mean by nothing is too much trouble. The Inn at the top of the hill, is where you have dinner and is a spectacular venue with the very best of service on offer, super efficient and friendly. A wider wine list would be welcome but that is the only improvement we can think of. The live music on Friday night was of an exceptionally high standard. Huge thanks to you all. We will return for sure.

Excellent beach resort for a restful recharging of batteries in the Caribbean sun with nice rooms, friendly efficient service and good food often utilising produce from the resort's own organic garden. Also we very much appreciated the no-fuss no-charge late checkout we were granted on our last day with an evening international departure flight.

We booked late and for the last few days of the season (early June). The hotel closed the day we left in fact. So our experience might not be typical in high season. Booked a beach cabana right ON the beach. Room is fine, fridge a bit noisy is all. TV reception not great. Service was excellent. Really friendly staff. Ate in first night but not good value. High price, average quality. Lovely grounds and a top beach, warm sea. Not cheap to stay but a good location (we hired a car and saw nowhere we would have preferred) and a nice treat.
