The Interlude

I was upgraded to an interlude room and it was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had! Incredible that they cut through prison walls as wide as my shoulders to connect 3 cells together! The room was cozy, well designed and just an amazing experience. I also dined down in the bar with an excellent offering/ happy hour for Thursday night. The scallop was delicious and the oysters were excellent! Great staff as well, super on top of it! Couldn’t recommend this experience more!

What an amazing hotel with an incredible history. You will not find a hotel like this anywhere. The rooms are all converted B division prison cells, ours being B106 which was made up of 4 cells. Yes the rooms are right for room but you don’t come to a place like this to stay in your room all day. You might as well go to a real prison 😄 The bar downstairs serves some amazing cocktails. Their Blood and Bacchus was incredible, my wife and I both had two of them. Breakfast at the North & Common restaurant was delicious. Highly recommend for some where ‘different’ to stay.

We had an absolute dream time here. My wife and I were visiting from Brisbane and spent the first few days with friends and family and then two nights to ourselves here. The bed is so comfy and I had the best sleep, it’s so dark and cosy like a little cave!!!!! The interior of the whole place was beautiful and unique, great wine choice at the bar and absolutely amazing service from everyone in the hotel and the connected bars and restaurants. The only thing I would change is to make the pool a little hotter but to be honest I’m sure it’s at a temperature that most people enjoy! Thanks for a wonderful stay, we will be recommending to friends and finding a reason to come back!!!
