If I could give this gorgeous hotel 10 stars, I would! This was our second stay as our first visit was just perfect, so I knew we had to stay here on the weekend that I proposed to my girlfriend. I mentioned this to the hotel when I made the booking and they made sure that we had an extra special experience with a lovely note and bottle of champagne. The front desk staff are always so kind and helpful. Our room is always so clean, the bed is so comfy and everything is so well thought out. We love the Puffin Bar downstairs (you can't hear it in your room and it's a retro bar, not a party bar) for great food and cool cocktails. All-in-all The Intrepid ticks all the boxes for a lovely weekend in the city!
The absolute cutest hotel we have ever stayed in!!! The rooms weren’t huge, but the layout made it feel like we had so much space. The decor and the bathroom was very cozy and stylish. The location was absolutely perfect to walk around to different restaurants, cafes, shops and sights in Wellington. Very close to Cuba St. The housekeeping and reception staff was awesome, and we appreciate Georgia always keeping the room tidy and stocked for us! Would come back just for this hotel again!
The Intrepid is a lovely hotel and in a great location. This night was a special treat to myself for a significant birthday. The bed was super comfortable and the decor lovely. The complementary snacks and bottle of wine were great, as were the robes and bathroom amenities. The service was good but I did need to give feedback on the shower which was only just warm and not a nice experience to use. It could be that I used it too late in the morning, after I’d been to the gym and just before I checked out, but I tried all settings and it just didn’t warm up. I gave this feedback and the staff member said she’d look into it. I did pay full price for the room so it was disappointing not to have a really nice warm shower to end my stay. So only a 4 star review. I would stay again if I could be assured of a good hot shower.
