Our stay at The K Club was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. A special mention goes to Joseph, the doorman, whose friendly demeanor and insightful recommendations led us to some of the most picturesque spots on the estate—perfect for capturing memorable photos. The resort itself exudes elegance, seamlessly blending historic charm with modern luxury. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, offering stunning views of the meticulously maintained grounds. Dining at the on-site restaurants was a culinary delight, with each meal surpassing our expectations. For golf enthusiasts, The K Club is a dream come true. My husband was thrilled to play on the same grounds that have hosted golfing legends. Walking the same fairways as some of the greats added an extra layer of excitement to his game. Every aspect of our stay was thoughtfully curated, ensuring a relaxing and memorable experience. We left The K Club feeling rejuvenated and already looking forward to our next visit.
K Spa was very average. Relaxation room and the whole spa area lighting is blue and very hash on the eyes. No outdoor view from the relaxation room. Massage room was cold, music a bit too loud. Therapist was just doing random strikes on the back felt like she didn't know what she was doing. And giving too many pauses in between. The oil she used felt like sunflower oil honestly. No scent nothing special to make you feel like its a treat (5* hotel....) Won't be coming back for sure. Such a disappointment considering how expensive it is. Changing area also looks very run down and needs a major remake. Receptionist Grace was very nice though. Very smiley and helpful.
I hate to leave a low score, but as I sit here at breakfast my disappointment compels me to! The highlight of any of my hotel breaks is the breakfast! Recently after staying at the intercontinental in Dublin my standards have been left very high, however this was a serious disappointment! The buffet was dreadful, the selection was less than satisfactory and it was quite depressing! No sign of luxury or anything to tempt the appetite! There seemed to be lots of staff but no one on the floor paying attention to the customer or restocking the buffet, also trying to get a fresh coffee or tea took a lot of effort. The hot breakfast from the menu was basic at best! After having had a lovely evening the previous night this has left a sour taste in my mouth. For this type of hotel it really wasn’t good enough….. During checkout I brought this matter to the attention of the hotel, I have to say they responded excellently, and we had lunch in the bar. Which was excellent.
