A Truly Exceptional Stay at The Kindler Hotel – Lincoln’s Hidden Gem! From the moment we arrived at The Kindler Hotel in downtown Lincoln, we knew we were in for a special experience. The staff was warm, professional, and made us feel instantly welcome—starting with a charming little welcome gift bag at check-in that completely set the tone. It’s those thoughtful touches that elevate a hotel stay from good to unforgettable. The atmosphere throughout the property is modern, stylish, and quietly luxurious, with beautiful design details everywhere you look. Our room was spotless and beautifully appointed—cozy yet upscale, with plush bedding, high-end finishes, and an incredibly comfortable bed that made it hard to leave in the morning. Location-wise, The Kindler couldn’t be better. We loved being able to walk to nearby restaurants, bars, and entertainment options, but honestly, it was hard to top the vibe and service inside the hotel itself. Everything felt calm, polished, and effortlessly welcoming. Huge kudos to the staff for making our stay so smooth and enjoyable—and again, a special shoutout for the welcome bag. It may seem small, but it’s the kind of thoughtful gesture that makes The Kindler feel a cut above the rest. We’ll absolutely be back!
Spent 3 nights here with my wife this past weekend and it was truly a great experience. It’s in a perfect location right downtown, the people that work there were genuine and provided great service, and the rooms were clean and quiet. Quite an upscale/luxury feel as well. I would recommend to anyone. Also, Lincoln is a fantastic place to visit!
Rooms were clean, Staff were polite and professional, other then that not so good. Our suite was overpriced compared to the quality of accommodations we received and compared to other hotels we have previously stayed in in Lincoln. The suite was badly designed - beds were by the door so you could hear all the corridor noise when trying to sleep while the bathroom, kitchenette and couch area were in the back of suite. The bathroom was a disaster - the shower/bathtub rim that you had to step over was over two feet high and dangerous when trying to step over with wet feet, a disaster waiting to happen. We learned later that only a few of the rooms have this bathtub feature but someone is going to get hurt. The bathroom makeup mirror was way to high for my 5'-7" wife to use - my guess is the installer was 6'-4"? The restaurant breakfast menu was limited and their cook didn't even know how to cook the oatmeal that was on the menu. It was a bowl of cooked unprocessed oatmeal kernels with kernel hulls still on them, uneatable. When I returned the "oatmeal" I didn't have to say anything, the waitress looked at the cereal and apologized and said it was a learning experience for the cook and didn't charge us - it was the last time we ate at the restaurant. Then there was the smell - it was either a tobacco ashtray smell or a chemical smell. When we checked in and first smelled it, we tried to change rooms but there were no other rooms available - I tried to change hotels too but last minute reservations were too expensive and we were tired so we were stuck. And the higher price doesn't mean you get a break in parking - you will either have to pay $13/day or $24/day with in-and-out privileges. We go to Lincoln a few times a year and I've wanted to stay at the Kindler for a while because of the ratings and I wanted to like the place but ..
