The King Charles

Hotel room and the interior was very beautiful, clean and spacious, I felt like I was transported back to the Middle Ages! The room also had an AC installed which is incredibly useful on hot nights and summer time. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating when I asked if I could check in earlier or leave my luggage with reception and explore while I wait for my room. The location is also excellent-5 minutes from Prague Castle, and around 10 minutes to the castle square where you can take a tram to the old town and other locations in Prague. However, there is a small disadvantage for older/ less physically fit people: Since it is further away from the main touristy area of Prague (old town) and up a hill, you might have to walk up and down several times if you plan on visiting the area outside the castle complex and across Charles Bridge, to get to the tram/ metro station or just by walking. But personally, I found the view, serenity, and historical atmosphere of the place as a good compromise :)

Stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is beautiful, the room was huge and clean and tidy. Staff were nice. The only issue is that it's up a big hill but if you don't mind walking then it's definitely worth staying in.

The 4th floor rooms are very big and comfortable, with bath tub. Comfortable bed and medieval style windows. We were here maybe in the hottest days of the year (July 2025) and unfortunately in the night we had to sleep with open windows, but I’m sure you don’t need air conditioning in other periods of the year.
