The Kings Head Hotel

I can only say as I find , nice hotel very friendly staff. Bath is a great addition to the shower. Room cleaned every day fresh towels even though they weren't required. I'd happily stay again. Furniture has a few marks but it's not the Hilton , bed comfortable. Had a few events so loud music but it's a pub as well but it wasn't overly intrusive. Thanks Gary

When we arrived in the room, the heat immediately hit us, the air conditioning clearly was not working. The screen was saying the room was 25 degrees, with it being the hottest day of the year in London (32 degrees) My boyfriend went downstairs to speak with the receptionist, we told him that if it did not work to just let us know now and we will go elsewhere but he assured us that he would deal with it and it would just take 5 minutes for the room to cool down so we left to eat some dinner and when we returned back almost 2 hours later the room was still 25 degrees which at that time was hotter than outside. When we explained this to the desk he said he had done all he could and he doesn’t know why it’s not working. I believe he was well aware that the air con in this room did not work, but he failed to mention this on arrival and continued to tell us that he would fix it knowing full well that he could not, hoping we would get bored of complaining and just bare with it. We were unable to breathe let alone sleep in that heat with absolutely no air flowing through the room. So we had no other option but to hand the key back and go elsewhere. The cleanliness of the room was no where near up to scratch. From stained towels and bedding to strange white marks all over the skirtings that could easily be wiped off with some tissue. You could also walk up and down the stairs about 6 times before the lift doors closed and started to move. It was clear this hotel it not well looked after at all. Overall such a poor experience here.

The room had visible mold on the walls and stains on the pillows — genuinely shocking for a hotel in this price range. It was clear the room hadn’t been properly cleaned or maintained, which made the whole stay feel uncomfortable and unhygienic. To make matters worse, I emailed the hotel multiple times after my stay to raise these concerns and never received a single response. No apology, no follow-up — just complete silence. Avoid if you value cleanliness, professionalism, or even the courtesy of having your complaints acknowledged.
