The Kingsbury Colombo

I recently visited this restaurant for their dinner buffet and had a fairly pleasant experience overall. The food was definitely the highlight of the evening. There was a wide variety of dishes available, and most of them were flavorful and well-prepared. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything seemed fresh and thoughtfully presented. I especially enjoyed the main course options, which offered a good mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. The ambience, however, was just average. The lighting and decor were basic, and while the seating was comfortable enough, the overall atmosphere didn’t feel particularly cozy or special. It felt more functional than inviting. One downside was how crowded the restaurant was. It was a busy evening, and the place felt a bit cramped. At times, it was difficult to navigate between tables or get quick service due to the number of people. This did impact the overall dining experience slightly, especially when trying to go for refills at the buffet. Despite that, if you're mainly looking for a good variety of tasty food at a reasonable price, this place delivers. I’d consider returning on a less busy night to better enjoy the meal and setting.

I recently spent 2 days at The Kingsbury, Colombo, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The service was exceptional from start to finish, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and professional. A special mention to Mr. Heshan, who made our mornings so pleasant at the breakfast buffet. His warm attitude, attention to detail, and helpful recommendations really stood out. He went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied. Everything from the food to the atmosphere was top-class. I would definitely recommend The Kingsbury to anyone visiting Colombo. Had a wonderful stay at The Kingsbury! The hotel offers an amazing city view—especially beautiful at night. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout, and the service was top-notch. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The buffet had a great variety, and the desserts were a highlight. Overall, a great experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Colombo!
