This hotel is disgusting. Found cockroaches all over the place, including in our room and when he complained he didn’t seem to care. Even the staff doesn’t react when they see one in the reception, they dont even trie to kill it so thats why this hotel is full of them. They let them walk around freely without caring about guests. They have no hygiene, the room is not well clean and the photos dont live up to the expectation. The pool is also disgusting, not clean, the breakfast is also terrible and lets not even begin with the location. Feels like you are in the middle of a poor neighbourhood, far away from everything. Most of the reviews are fake which is unbelievable. Although this is cheap i would rather sleep in a tent or a hostel shared bedroom than stay here and risk waking up next to a cockroach. This hotel should be demolished

This one star review is to counterbalance all of the FAKE REVIEWS which have been left on this site by the international owners of the hotel. See below for the REAL FACTS AND INFORMATION before you book here: Customer service: upon arrival we quickly realised we had been conned by fake reviews online. We told the receptionist this and said we wanted a full refund. She didn't deny the fake reviews but said we needed to cancel through Booking, so we quickly sent a request to waive fees. This was instantly denied by the hotel even though she said the owners were the ones in control and wouldnt respond for 48 hours. We then spoke to the manager who admitted to us that the owners were using fake reviews but claimed this wasn't his fault. He point blank refused to refund us. He even told us my google maps was broken and we were only 10 minutes walk from the old town (the old town is 2 hours walk away!). No apology was given, nothing was done to make us feel better. They admitted to conning us and then forced us to stay there anyway. Location: contrary to the Chat GPT reviews claiming the hotel is close to the old town and beach, its actually off a main road in an area with nothing going on. It is at least 20 minutes drive to any attaction apart from Wat Chalong. You need a bike to get anywhere, so if you cant drive you would feel totally stranded here. Quality of facilities: the hotel is run down and is currently under maintenance. It is actually an old hotel called 'Lake Chalong' but has been purchased recently and none of the branding has been changed. It is even 'Lake Chalong' on google maps. The room was fine but wasn't very clean (food in the sink, hairs behind the toilet). The lake is dirty and smelly. We didn't even go in the pool. Everything feels a bit bleak and lacking in love. We asked twice in one day for room cleaning and they still forgot to do it, again with no apology given. Breakfast: by far the worst part of the experience. Out of 5 choices there are NO VEGETARIAN OPTIONS. My girlfriend had to just have pancakes with nothing on. She even had to buy her own bananas as they wouldn't make any adjustments for her. The other breakfasts were minimal and badly cooked. Booking.Com need to do something about places like this, conning people into staying here, making them pay in advance and then stealing their money. This is nothing more than a scam and should be treated as such. They also take 1000 baht deposit and we made sure to keep the room spotless to have this returned - we have seen that other reviewers weren't so lucky. Save yourself the disappointment and book somewhere else.
