Great hotel, food and staff were fantastic I will definitely bring my family back
Read a lot of reviews before coming here. I would argue that a lot of the negative reviews can be disregarded as I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. You need to consider the fact that this is a 3 star hotel. The food is average but perfectly edible and the fact it is an all you can eat buffet there is nothing wrong with leaving what you don't like to get something else. I haven't met met any staff members that were rude or unhelpful. I feel this holiday is what you make of it, there is so many beautiful sites to see and the hotel is situated between plenty of modes of transport either on the same side of the lake or across the lake.
The hotel has been massively extended but now needs serious money spending on decor. Our room was adequate if all you want to do is sleep. There was no draw space for clothing, the wardrobe door was hanging off & three light bulbs were missing. There is no tea and coffee making facilities in the room the flooring is hard board panels so it is impossible to walk quietly with constant squeaks and creaks. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the food was good but at peek times it was very busy and staff were over stretched. Reception and the lounge area are well furnished with very comfortable chairs and sofas. Definitely a 3 star hotel but only just.
