The Resort is Lush, Green, Quiet and Central. Units are roomy and clean with Kitchen and Laundry. A great stay for Couples looking to relax. Pools (4) are fantastic as is Thai Restaurant near entrance gates. Located near the Botanical Gardens and Edge Hill local Shops. Free on-street parking.
I had a wonderful stay at The Lakes Cairns Resort! The apartment was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed, including a full kitchen and laundry. The resort grounds are beautiful, with multiple pools, lush gardens, and plenty of spots to relax. The location is perfect — close to the Airport, and just a short drive to the city. A fantastic choice for families or anyone wanting a peaceful base in Cairns. Would definitely stay again!
2nd Night covered in bed bugs. Kicthen cupboards needed a wipe down of crumbs has a real skunky odour to it, expired milk left in the fridge or perphaps it was meant for the next people staying. Surface tops across the whole apartement covered in sticky dust. Mouldy stink damp mop left in the laundry room. ALL BEDS ACROSS THE WHOLE RESORT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED OR SOME WHAT TREATED! ive come across a few reviews and people have stated theyve come back with bed bugs. Its disgusting how much of a scam they promote just for basic cleaning standards that arent being met! Room 902 - Infested with Bed bugs sort it out
