The Lakeside Hotel & Leisure Centre

During our trek across Ireland, we spent two wonderful nights at The Lakeside Hotel and Leisure Centre. Our river-view room was fantastic—beautiful views from the patio, along with lovely decor and a maritime theme that added a special touch. The food was excellent, and the complimentary breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. The pool and spa facilities were great too, featuring a dry sauna, steam sauna, and cold plunge, perfect for relaxing. All hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel’s location was very convenient, close to local restaurants and the market. Highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

Stayed in the family room that had 3 single beds and a double bed, so spacious for the 3 of us! Beautiful lake view lounge with lovely food. Staff were all very friendly and the place was clean. The pool has a waterslide which this 40 year old just had to try out! 😊 definitely recommend 👌

We held a large family gathering at the Lakeside for my father’s 70th birthday. I cannot speak highly enough of the experience as a whole, but particularly the staff - they were so accommodating and went above and beyond in making sure everything was a success… Including being good sports about making sure the ‘surprise!’ part went smoothly! The food was delicious, and there were lots of little extra touches to make the event feel special :) Rooms are very comfortable, and the location on the lake is just lovely. We will be back for sure, as will many of our party guests! Thank you to the Lakeside for an unforgettable experience!
