It's an exceptional heritage property, with beautiful architecture and tasteful decor inside out. Felt truly privileged to stay at such a beautiful property which has probably improvised and kept upgrading with the passage of time. Was intrigued by the 180 year old seal kept at the reception, and the vintage piano in the lobby area. The room was impeccably clean and tidy. The window view was towards a lovely courtyard. The breakfast spread was varied and quite vast, had scrumptious food at the start of a very important day ahead. The staff is extremely polite, well behaved and caring. They also extended our check out time by an hour and half which was very helpful as I was travelling with my senior citizen Father. The proximity to Howrah station is a plus point, and there are quite nice restaurants in the vicinity in case you want to dine out. Definitely worth staying once in your lifetime! Totally recommend it 👍🏼

We booked the hotel from USA and stayed here on 18th June in room no 3058. Service was good and staffs were very friendly. The room was spacious but bathroom could be more cleaner and bathroom sink was clogging because of the stopper, which I had to remove. Food was really good and staffs were very nice. We also took their pickup and drop off service which was also very convenient and drive was a very nice and gentel👍. Now I will tell you why I gave them 2 rating. We booked their car to visit kalighat temple. As it was our first time visit we had no clue about the temple and pandas scams. The driver introduced us to a pandit and said he would take care of us. It was very very disappointing to see how they are looting money in side the temple. The sad part is that their DRIVER was part of this SCAM. Inside the temple pandits did some puja forcibly and asked us to pay Rs10,000 because we didn't have that much cash, and left our wallet in the hotel...we promised them will pay once we reach. Then the driver came, I sat on the back seat of the car and heard the driver was talking with one of the scammer. Scammer ( wearing orange color kurta) was saying " party will pay Rs10,000 after reaching hotel" Driver " It doesn't work like this... It should happen on the spot" On the way to hotel he asked us to write a good review, which my husband did. He wasn't aware of the conversation. Now, my question to the management of the hotel were they aware of this thing..IF NOT THEY SHOULD..They should now whom they are sending with their customer. I would recommend this hotel only for stay but not for taking their transportation facility for temple visit. Thanks!! Update as on June 21, 2025: I have changed my rating today after I received their immediate response and assurances for actions being taken regarding the incident. I would like to thank the hotel management for their seriousness about the feedback. Highly recommend the hotel. Thanks!!

The cultural experience at Lalit Kolkata left us with many stories and great memories. The hotel facilities and room services are exceptional. The staff are also accommodating and friendly. Specially front desk staffs. Ms Sainur and Srijita was helpful and polite. I booked lalit because of its commitment to eco-friendly practices. From recycling programs to energy-saving measures, they prioritize environmental conservation without compromising comfort.
