This is not a hotel--it some bizarre venture capital project. This place just oozes the fact that upper management is time zones away. I noticed that Kimpton Hotels is also associated with IHG, and I got an unauthorized charge from them a few years ago. First, the advertised price in Google maps is NOT the price when you finish the shopping cart--how they fooled Google is a mystery. There is some indication that is you sign up for some rewards program you get the better rate but that didn't work. The breakfast buffet--not included, 17 dollars a person--was the worst meal I have had at any hotel in my life. I am 60 years old. The food trays didn't even have heaters on them, all food was room temp. This place is nasty. I'm going to edit my review after seeing the response... You people seem to think there was a fault of some individual worker there--they're absolutely was not! The failure is management, you say you're going to talk to the staff at the hotel? Did they design the website? Did they buy the equipment and maintain the equipment in which the breakfast is served? It's really simple... Go down there and have the breakfast! You're going to have some staff meeting and yell at a bunch of $16 an hour workers, you've absolutely lost your mind.
We stayed last weekend and my experience was rather poor. The staff and the other guests were quite rude, when I went to eat breakfast my second morning staying at the hotel, a little Hispanic lady harassed me several times over whether or not I was on the list for breakfast and proceeded to hand my husband and I a trying to charge me extra when I have already paid for my breakfast when I booked the hotel. This really irritated me. And on top of that the poor was filthy and crowded the whole time. It had a murky appearance most likely resulting from people’s lotions so I could not even enjoy the pool with my daughter. However I will say, snacks were pretty cheap and the room was spacious
My family and I came into Arlington on a Saturday August 2nd to attend the Yankees Rangers game on August 4th. Our stay was from 8/2/25 to 8/5/25. On Sunday morning, 8/3/25, of our stay, the room door would not auto lock as it should when the door is closed. The maintenance technician had to replace the entire lock. That same night, it happened again and the front desk told us we had to move to another room. Inconveniently, we did. The next day my wife and I left to attend the baseball game and we left my 20 year old and 18 year old daughters in the room and I left them a keycard to go down and get snacks while we were gone. When they went down to get snacks and went back up to the room, the keycard did not work to open the room door. The front desk receptionist did not want to have the room door open for them. My daughters called me and I spoke to the receptionist and asked if she can just open it because we had just sat in at the game and couldn't leave. She told me no that she couldn't do that for us. My daughters were scared to just sit and wait until the game was over and I told the receptionist if something happened to my daughters while we were out that the hotel would be responsible. I basically made phone calls to try to get a manager to help because she did not want to connect me to anyone else to talk to. I finally reached out to reservations and told them the situation and somehow the receptionist did talk to me and said that I would have to include my daughters name to the reservation I made in order to give her another card to open the door. Needless to say it was not a very good experience we had to go through this even after we had to inconveniently had to change rooms because of the door lock issues at the hotel. I can honestly say we will never stay at this Crown Plaza ever again and let others know of our experience there. Other issues we had were very rude front desk personnel, swimming pool not at a cool temperature, and the hot tub did not operate as it should. Apologies for the lengthy review but it needed to be said.
