The Lamp Hotel Norrkoping

A very nice, although expensive, hotel close to the city centre of norrkoping. Rooms are spacious and beds are particularly comfortable. The look and feel of bedrooms is a bit old, as in a style that was popular in big cities a couple of years ago, but I suppose it’s also part of the charm of the place. Considering the price I would really expect the spa to be included. The restaurant is good although also on the pricy side. Vegetarian options are available.

Very nice hotel in a central location. The room was very nice with a good selection of comforts and amenities. We did not experience the spa unfortunately. The restaurant was lovely, it was warm enough for us to be able to sit outside in the courtyard. Food was delicious. Breakfast was good but not fabulous, they were out of bacon and the pancakes were dry, otherwise it was very good.

One of the most expensive hotels in Norrköping (2,895 SEK per night), but my stay was a complete disappointment. The room was extremely cold, the ventilation system didn’t work properly, and the heating never turned on during the night. Around 3–4 AM, I called the hotel’s main number to ask for help, but no solution was provided. I also reported the issue in writing afterwards, but hotel management did not follow up or offer any compensation. At this price point, such lack of service and accountability is unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel.
