Had dinner there yesterday after the Borrowdale fell race 02/08/2025. Absolutely fabulous 👌 service was great,friendly and very helpful. The food was superb. Can't wait to go again. Five stars from me
We found this gem for a light lunch, soups and sarnies type meal. Brilliant. Food was good and the ale was outstanding. Service was friendly and efficient. The location at the end of a single track road was to die for. Def on the list to return to.
We were a large party and they accommodated us for dinner at late notice. We sat in the restaurant section rather than han to be bar. The food was really good. Decent portions and the service was excellent. The desserts were lovely too, especially the apple crumble with custard and ice cream. It's a lovely quaint place surrounded by stunning scenery. I would definitely recommend this place. We didn't stay overnight so cannot comment on accommodations.
