We decided to stay here New Year's Eve. Our upgrade to a delightfuly spacious suite was fantastic. Large balcony with a View of the grounds, large bathroom, very large sitting room & lots of storage cupboards in addition to a large closet. Breakfast included minimal choices but was very nice. We will certainly stay here again should the opportunity present itself.
Great place to have holiday with family. This hotel is not high, modern, new buildings as like other newly built big hotels in Pattaya but has great atmosphere, calm and peacefulness with old Thai style garden. The staffs who are in charge of front desk are very smart ladies that very kind and helpful for guests with smile always. I started going to Pattaya for vacation around early 2000s, and I usuallly stayed at hotels like 'Amari Garden' (now 'Amari Ocean' after re-construction), 'Woodland Hotel & Resort', 'Thai Garden Resort', 'Pinnacle Grand Jomtien' where are garden style resorts with low story buildings and green garden But I turned to prefer this 'The Leela resort' now after I'd found this hotel at 2018. I felt there are two problems this hotel should improve now. The one is dark room and the other is no coffee machine on breakfast restaurant. The room is too dark at evening because of not enough lights. It could be solved easily with adding of some more lights. Regarding coffee, they had nice auto coffee machine which can make espresso and americano before but not now. It was disappeared through the COVID era. I hope they can get it again. Previously they had another problems as like poor internet quality, old style door lock, etc. But these are improved and very good now.
Highway very loud, if you’re in a road facing (which staff informed me all rooms are, suites face inward) it is loud from 5pm-11pm as all the busses, trucks and motorcycles pass. If you’re in building 4,5 or 6 you have to walk to the front to leave. There is a rear exit but it is continuously locked. Poor ingress/egress. The sidewalk is not really accessible friendly - it is hard to walk on. The bathtub water also is brown when filled but they include a filter for the shower. There is also no elevator. The hotel room number scheme also is awkward on purpose, e.g. 504 is located on the 3rd floor in the fifth building. 521 is located on the ground floor. They also mow the grass on weekend which is very loud.
