The Legendha Sukhothai

The property is GORGEOUS with a lovely pool and the rooms are very nice. The staff are very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast is included and it’s decent (particularly the garlic fried rice), but eating dinner here if you like Thai food is quite disappointing. The food is very bland so you need to add quite a lot of chili fish sauce and lime juice to make it taste good. I’d rate the food 3/5 stars (maybe even 2 on some dishes). However, I’m sure it’s meant to target older westerners who don’t like Thai food generally. I would not eat lunch/dinner here if you can avoid it. The massages and laundry services are very expensive so I recommend just walking down the street and you’ll save 50-60% on a nice massage and 70-80% on laundry by going to those businesses. Overall you only need one full day to see all of the amazing temple ruins in the city, so staying for two nights maximum would be my recommendation. Overall a really beautiful and relaxing place to stay!

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Highly recommend. Gardens and surrounds are stunning and well maintained. Room is beautiful. Pool is nice. Staff are great. Easy walk/ride/tuk tuk to main part of Old Town and the historical park. Loved riding around the area. So much to see and lucky timing to experience sound and light show at park and candlelight procession at Wat Si Chom (right next to hotel grounds). Sukhothai is amazing. Thanks Anne for all your help. We had a lovely time at Legendha.

Excellent place and great location. Sukhothai, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is the legendary first independent Thai Kingdom and a testament to its rich history and cultural legacy. The Sukhothai Historical Park, a sprawling complex of ruins, showcases stunning temples, royal palaces, and intricately carved statues, offering a glimpse into the kingdom's golden age. It is particularly known for the creation of the Thai alphabet and the establishment of Theravada Buddhism as the state religion under King Ramkhamhaeng the Great.
