I recently had a 5 day vacation at The Leonardo Hotel, and it was truly a delightful experience! From the moment i stepped in, I was greeted with such warmth. Dineo was at the reception that afternoon, and she is absolutely incredible. So welcoming and cheerful. She set high expectations for my stay, and I was not disappointed. The rooms are so elegantly furnished and extremely clean, which is something I always take note of. The hotel boasts 3 stunning restaurants, including Alto, which is the highest bar in Africa with stunning views. I also recommend having a meal at Aurum. During my stay, I also had the pleasure of interacting with Mpho and Tshepo, who also showed me exceptional kindness. I honestly could not ask for more. It has always been my dream to stay at The Leornado, and I am eternally grateful to these 3 people for making my stay as beautiful as it was. There are more names I did not mention, but the entire team is truly a dream team. From the concierge all the way to housekeeping, I was greeted with smiles and treated so well. The hotel is situated in the best location (about a 5 minute walk to Sandton City). The gym is so spacious with more than enough equipment. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed.
For a 5 star hotel you would expect outstanding service . However , not with this hotel. Reception staff make your life a misery with ID copies and the process is rather time consuming in all honesty . We have been resident guests for years at the Leonardo but it seems like nothing seems to change. Officially done with this hotel .
I’m writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the level of customer service I experienced during my recent stay at the Leonardo. Unfortunately, the management’s handling of my reservation issue, room condition, staff attitude, delayed assistance, fell far below the standard I expected. On the other hand, I would love to thank the ladies who work at the Spa, they were very professional & paid attention to all my requests. Their professionalism & amazing customer service was the only thing stopping me from checking out from the Leonardo & going to the Four Seasons at Westcliff, where I usually stay when I’m in Johannesburg.
