The Lincoln Hotel

Went to Lincoln for the weekend. Hotel is perfectly situated near the square up steep hill with only about a 5 minute walk to the local pubs, castle and cathedral. The hotel its self felt a bit old inside as noticed an old smell when walking down the corridors. The hotel has a bar area and a dining area for breakfast and dinner we chose to have breakfast which cost around 10 pounds each for a buffet styled breakfast. The reception area located on the ground floor which is easily accessible by lift or stairs. be aware the lift is quite small. Our hotel room again looked old and needed and revamp with no noticeable air con inside the room but luckily the breeze coming from the windows kept the room cool. The bed itself was cold and our tv was quiet small that we had to lift and put it on the desk and plug in ourselves to get it to work. The reception staff are lovely and friendly and very helpful at this hotel which was a big highlight. Note: If you are coming back to the hotel at a late hour at night you have to buzz the reception to be let in.

The Lincoln Hotel couldn't be better situated within a stones throw from the cathedral quarter. Yes the hotel looks tired and could do with updating but the staff are all v friendly and helpful, great choice of buffet breakfast, all of good quality. Would advise to avoid when there is a wedding as is incredibly noisy.

Stayed for two nights 18 - 20 July. Location is amazing. Staff are so friendly and helpful, we were put in a room with no air-conditioning and only a fan, it was a very warm day, we asked to be moved to a room with air-conditioning and 10 minutes later we were. Food was incredible, we had a club sandwich the day we arrived and wish we had shared 😀 dinner in the hotel that evening was perfect 👌 Breakfast was also spot on, buffet style with loads of choice. The hotel on the whole could do with a refurbishment but the staff and food made up for that little downfall. We will be back.
