My girlfriend stayed here for 2 nights for our anniversary. Instantly, we realized how close in proximity to the hotel that everything around Austin is. Immediate access to the Ladybird trail, across the bridge from South Congress St, etc. The room was nothing short of beautiful and view we had of the lake was more than impressive. We received a knock on our door an hour or two after checking in. It was a man from the front desk (who wore a striped shirt but forgot his name) who had a champagne bottle bucket with ice as well as 2 glasses and a hand written letter congratulating us on our anniversary. Another man at the front desk went to the bar and got us 2 wine glasses when we asked as well. The front desk service as well as the room service was impeccable. The pool was perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone and we feel beyond appreciated by how we were treated
I recently stayed at The LINE Hotel Austin. The design and location are definitely highlights—the space is visually striking and well situated. Check-in was smooth, but no assistance was offered with luggage, which would have been appreciated. Our room showed signs of wear, including stained carpet, dusty surfaces, and dated furniture. The bathroom could benefit from updated lighting and refreshed grout to match the hotel’s modern aesthetic. The pool area had great energy, but it needed more frequent upkeep. We noticed cracked tiles, bird droppings on loungers, and used cups in the water. Pool seating could also be more accommodating for taller guests. Food and drinks were enjoyable, and Matt at the pool bar provided excellent service—he was a standout. However, there were a few service gaps, such as no side plates for shared dishes and grooming concerns at P6 that took away from the overall dining experience. Unfortunately, a hair in my room service meal and a delay in resolving it, along with a non-functional in-room phone and poor cell reception, made that part of the stay frustrating. This property has strong potential, with its bold design and great location, but some areas of service and maintenance could benefit from more attention to detail. I’d be open to returning in the future if improvements are made.
Staff is nice and attentive. Room literally had a bed on floor lumpy at that. No kind of furniture to put clothes in. Basically a tv and a bed.Stained carpet. Hot room. I get the whole less is more but dang. Felt like I just moved into my first apartment. Considering what they charge. Stayed in other hotels in area with better facilities that charge less. Mini fridge in room with probably crazy expensive refreshments was hot.Pool was OK. Needs some basic cleaning and maintenance. Wood stain and paint goes a long way. I told myself ill spend some more money this time around to feel a little more luxurious but nah. I made a bad choice. You live and you learn. Location is great tho. Whoever the photographer was got me. Fool me once. Gotta be some kind of checklist thats not being checked.
