I will start out by saying that the staff at this location do whatever is needed to make you stay great. Check in was great and included a warm chocolate cookie. Later I came back with a question on the bill and this was explained with great care. The room was great, it had double shades to make sure if you wanted a dark room you could have one. It was clean and even included a note welcoming me to the hotel from the house keeper. The room included a safe, a mini fridge, and free wifi. The hotel also has a fitness center that looked very nice. Overall it was a great stay and I would stay again.
Overall a great stay. Room was very clean, bed and pillows very comfy. Staff were friendly. Check-in staff and desk very helpful. Service staff in hallway always smiled and said hello. Love a clean bathroom and nice towels too. Convenient discounted parking that they can charge right to your room through plate recognition. Fitness room was very nice. Plenty of nice equipment and well maintained. Restaurant food was good. I remember Hilton Hotels used to give honors club members a bottle of water when checking in, and I miss this. Lighting in room was not great— good lighting in entryway of room but there was a desk and a bar/counter with no light to see by. Coffee maker on counter but no outlet there so had to carry it over by nightstand to plug it in. When using the coffee maker beware it only dispenses on the left side! Well marked and totally my fault that I put the cup in the center and had a mess to clean up—but one of my fellow travelers also had the same problem. I imagine it might happen often. Overall a fine stay and I would choose the Linsmore again.
Bed bugs in room 612. The lack of concern or apology while I was explaining the issue to the employee at the desk was my first hint that this was a common problem at this hotel. The employee didn’t bother asking for a picture or any more details he just seemed apathetic and frustrated that in my hurry to leave the room I didn’t grab the key card. Nothing was done to remedy the situation or apologize for the inconvenience. I was made to feel like I was being an inconvenience because I wanted to change rooms. If I had looked at other reviews before picking my room I would’ve avoided the 6th floor completely. I was moved to a different room on the 6th floor which seemed clean but then I found a stain on the sheets. When I went down to the front desk to ask for a clean sheet set the employee said “well how bad of a stain is it?” As if the expectation should be for me to sleep on a stained sheet after I just got moved from a bug infested room. I did eventually get fresh sheets but this experience hasn’t been great. Even after spending an hour checking all the furniture in my new room with a flashlight I feel uneasy sleeping in this hotel. Edit: editing to add that no compensation was offered for the inconvenience.
